The Mighty Sprouts

The series looks at environmental issues from a kid’s point of view with each episode focusing on a theme such as recycling. The narrative follows the three main characters Keira, Liam and Sam who retreat to the garden shed and turn into The Mighty Sprouts to solve problems and help the environment.

The brief involved creating children's ‘superhero’ costumes, incorporating recycled items from in and around the home, made to appear as though they had been homemade – from such items as old bicycle tyres, car mats and garden astro turf mats. The children had to quickly change out of normal clothing into these costumes in order to enter ‘superhero’ mode.
