About Jacqueline Mills

During her varied career in film and television, Jacqueline has worked on contemporary and period dramas, children’s programming, long-running series, game shows, horror and thriller movies and much more. She won an Emmy Award for her work on Jim Henson’s Mother Goose  children’s TV series for the Disney Channel.

 

More recently Jacqueline has worked on the prestigious BBC productions DodgerThe First Team and Horrible Histories, the fantasy family comedy Yonderland, made by Working Title for Sky, and the highly popular sitcom Citizen Khan, also for the BBC. Dodger has won the BAFTA for best Children's Scripted and the 2023 RTS Award for Best Children's Programme.

 

She has completed an extensive run of award-winning children's series for the BBC, including The Ministry of Curious Stuff, Ludus, Trapped Ever AfterRelic: Guardians of the Museum and School of Silence. Trapped and Relic have both one BAFTA Children's Awards in the category Entertainment.

Jacqueline has appeared on the South Bank Show Masterclass, where leading figures in the arts have discussed their work in order to give insight into their methods and offer creative inspiration. Other contributors include Tracey Emin, Joan Armatrading, Nicholas Hytner and Simon Armitage.

 

In the course of her career, Jacqueline has become renowned for creating a polished look within budget, and producing detailed accurate accounts of project expenditure. She has built up a broad network of contacts within the fashion retail industry, design houses and PR companies, and is able to borrow or obtain clothing and accessories at vastly reduced costs.

If required, she can provide a trusted, first class costume crew, and she has the facilities to design and produce specific pieces of clothing to order – as with Trapped and Relic. In addition, she has a stock of interesting pieces of contemporary and vintage clothing that is available to use on projects, which always helps with the budget.
