CBBC. 13 x half hour quirky children's comedy series.
Run by Vic Reeves and his extraordinary team of rersearchers, the Ministry is a depositry of weird and offbeat information. Fielding questions from viewers, the team engage in sketches, songs and animations in order to provide comic and colourful answers.
A challenging brief involved creating costumes for the Ministry team, where crusty 1940s fashions such as tweed suits were blended with looks adapted from uniforms, but rendered more exaggerated and surreal. The sketch costume designs required an eclectic approach referencing many genres and historical periods.
